Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Grounds for wrongful termination

I was fired today for failing at a task

which was twice as difficult as others

at the same level as me, which was

expected to be done in half the time.

I know the reasons are because of a

personal vendetta my manager had

with me (and consequently set me

up for failure). Is this grounds for

wrongful termination? What are my

options at this point?

Re: Grounds for wrongful termination

You're an 'at will' employee, that can be fired any time for any reason. Go file for unemployment and look for a new job.
