Legal Question in Employment Law in California
I believe I am being harassed.
I think I am being harassed by my boss. She and the CFO have issues that I somehow get in the middle of without my knowledge. Most recently I was called into my boss' office and accused of being part of a ''witch hunt'' with the CFO and Payroll person. She starts hollering at me about something I have not clue what she is talking about. I have told her it needs to stop, that I am tired of being harassed. In Nov 2003 I discussed issues with the CEO and was told that my boss was doing a great job and that if I had a problem to find another position in the facility. I have emails (between her and I) and notes dating back to June 2003 of problems. It seems as though everytime I speak up I end up with ''projects'' that need done NOW. I have been employed by this company for almost 5 years, have had above average Evaluations and last year was Employee of the Month. Since my words are limited I hope I have given you and idea of my issue and hopefully will let me know if this is something persuing. It is now to the point of me looking for another job. Thank you for you time.

Re: I believe I am being harassed.
What you described is office politics. Unless the harassment is based on race/age/sex/ etc under civil rights laws, it is not illegal, and you are facing at-will employment issues. Clearly, look for other work, as the situation is not going to change. If it is civil rights, then contact me to discuss your options.

If it's causing you tremendous stress, it might be a Workers' Compensation issue as well. I second Mr. Nelson's suggestion. No one needs to be subjected to such abuse!
