Legal Question in Employment Law in California

hello

to whom it may concern:

I was just terminated from a manager position. I was hired 5 months ago to straighten out the

maintenance department of a small company. they said tha they would support me in any way possible. when i was first hired they said they would give me a clerk to help me with thier maintenance purchases. well they hired one person that qit after a couple of weeks. the second person they agreed for him to help me. it turned out that he was more of the problem then the solution

secondly he had no purchasing experience. so to make a long story short. it turned out that by that time i was overwhelmed with incomplete purchases and also spent over budget due them not having any parts for thier equipment. so i was accused of over spending. the manager of the department took the purchasing away from me and informed me that he would give it back to me soon as i straightened out the parts department. three hours later he terminated me. to that is false hope. he also humiliated me in front of other employees and accused me of stealing from the company. and that i did not know anything about managing people. if you look at me record i have never had any problems managing with any other company.for the last five months all he did was harass and bring the employees into his office to complain about me. when they terminated me they had nothing in writting no documentation. i never sighned anything that said i was doing sub par work performance.

what are my options. i do not want to go back to work for these people

thank you jim tarin

Options? File for unemployment and seek new employment. Without a written employment contract, you were an 'at will' employee that can be fired any time for any reason.
