Legal Question in Employment Law in California

My husband has been suspended with pay since Tuesday morning at 10:00 am. He was told "a couple of days" Tuesday morning, and then had to call his boss and was told "a couple more days" on Thursday night. This is due to an investigation that must be conducted after an employee he had to terminate filed an appeal. The company is not giving him any information. Does he have any rights at this point, like receiving more information about what they are investigating? Or, because they suspended him with pay, does he just have to sit back and wait?

No, he can sit and wait, or quit and seek a new job.
