Legal Question in Employment Law in California
my husband works for a company that is not following their payroll procedures/policies. he works for a car dealership and should only be paid for deals that have been funded by the banks by a certain date. if the deals are not funded in time, he is supposed to be paid the following next pay period. he also only gets an hourly check if his deals total less than his hourly salary. on today's check, he was paid for two deals that were not funded yet, but had another deal four days prior that had not funded, but he did not get paid on that. the two he got paid for was less than his hourly wage, so he got paid for his hourly wage, but the one deal that was done four days prior totalled $600, meaning that he would have gotten paid the $600 and the total of the two smaller deals. what can he do? this has been going on for months now and is taking a definite toll on our finances.

Any claim for unpaid wages and benefits can be filed with the local office of the Labor Commissioner. If the matter is contested, you have the right to hire an attorney to help you.
