Full time or part time is not the issue. Your company policies determine what, if any, benefits you are entitled to. If you are defined as full time, as you stated, then you are entitled to the same benefits as all other full time employees in your classification. CA normally deems 32 + hours as full time, unless otherwise defined by the employer. If part time, then you are entitled to the same benefits as all other similar part time employees. Yes, insurance can have limited sign up periods that end, and are typically open at least once a year. Ask to see the company policy and insurance company handbook of the subject of signup. If you;'ve missed this one, the next will come available.
