On the job driving accident
If I have an associate drive to and from a office to where our trucks are parked, and he gets into an accident in his car on the way back to the office are we liable for damage to his car?

He will be on the job for Workers Comp purposes, and for liability if he hurts anyone. Your insurance would have to cover him.

Any travel during the work day is working time for pay purposes, on the job injuries and liability to third parties. It is wise to confirm that your company liability policy has coverage for non-owened autos, many general liability and business package policies have exclusions.
Damage to his auto must be reimbursed under Labor Code Section 2802.
