Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Are there any kind of laws that co workers have to abide by and keep them out of your personal space? If they are coming at you in a threatening manner do you have the right to protect yourself by pushing them away without consequences from your employer?

"Without consequence"?

Dream on.

Every action has consequences.

You have the 'right' to protect yourself with appropriate response to force, but....

You could be disciplined or terminated for creating or being involved in a physical altercation, regardless of fault. So should the other guy.

Not only are there no laws against poor management or 'unfair treatment' by management or other employees, but in general, unless an employee is civil service, in a union, or has a written employment contract, they are an 'at will' employee that can be disciplined or terminated any time for any reason, with or without cause, explanation or notice.

Any employee's goal should be to keep their supervisors happy and make them look good to the company, and make the company money. Thats how the company pays employee wages. If you don't, then don't be surprised to be replaced.
