Re: lay-off

IF, IF, you can somehow show that the reason for your layoff was due to your age, then you may have an age discrimination and termination claim. If others [younger] were also laid off, you will have a problem proving that. If you think you have any such evidence, feel free to contact me. You may also be able to have an attorney contact them regarding your claim of discrimination and resolve the situation with a return to work or a settlement. You have options.

It depends. We need more information. If it can be shown that you were laid off because of your age/retirement yes you have a cause of action, but I need more facts to give you a firm answer.
