There is no law that requires employers to provide any vacation days. It is a benefit that is left up to the discretion of the employer. The employer can decide how many vacations days it wishes to give, as a fringe benefit and what an employee must do to qualify for the benefit. However, once a vacation day has been earned, it cannot be forfeited.

Companies don't have to offer ANY vacation or sick leaves, etc. Some don't. This one is stingy, but legal.
