lisensing through d.p.s. in califorinia

concerning background checks?

how far back does califorinia law,

allow them to go? i have a charge almost 18 years ago and have completed all my responsibiitys.

it was a felony and i went through drug and alcohol treatment 15 years ago and have been doig fine ever since, please let me know

Records are forever. However, you may be able to get that conviction off your record by expungement, IF there was no prison time served or sentenced. If granted by the court, it means you can answer 'no' to convictions on private employment applications. There are some convictions that can't be expunged, feel free to contact me to discuss the procedures and costs and if yours is possible.
