Legal Question in Employment Law in California
I live in California. I will be starting to workmnights at a liquor store inmamcouple weeks. My employer has authorized me to carry a handgun.
I work nights at a liquor store in CA. My employer has authorized me to carry a handgun.
I've reviewed the state law but would like an expert opinion. Would I need a concealed weapon permit? I do not believe so as I will only be armed on the property while on duty. Would I be correct?
Thankyou

As long as you are not a 'prohibited person', and are qualified to buy and possess a handgun, then your employer can authorize you to carry one on premises, and you don't need a permit to do so. It is the same as being in your own home. You can't leave the store premises however, without following all the laws about legal transportation without a permit.
