Legal Question in Employment Law in California

How long before a judgment will be filed in Superior Court

It has been over 45 days since I received the Order, Decision or Award of the Labor Commissioner. My award is for $6,873.20. The The Defendant neither paid nor appealed the decision. I have been waiting for a judgment to be filed in my behalf with the Superior Court. My questions are: 1. How can I get the judgment mailed to me?2. If my former employer does not pay how long will it take to reassign the judgment for collection through the State Franchise Tax Board? 3. If I take the judgment to court in order to obtain a writ of execution what will happen after that procedure? Thank you for any information to can give me regarding this matter.

It's up to you to obtain and collect your judgment, nobody is going to do it for you. Contact the court clerk to see if the judgment is available, get a copy. Prepare and submit the Writ to the court for issuance. Locate assets and prepare levy instructions to the local marshall or sheriff.
