Legal Question in Employment Law in California
I have a longer styled goatee with no beard and I work at taco bell. I keep a beard net on it and its been fine. The company policy says we are allowed a goatee but says nothing about length. I was told yesterday to cut it after so long... Is this discrimination. I live in Sacramento County CA.

NOT discrimination. Appearance and 'dress' are certainly not protected categories under the civil rights laws. Employers are free to set the standards in order to present the 'image' they want the public to see.
