Legal Question in Employment Law in California

My manager altered my \"punch in\" \"punch out\" times, with that being said my paycheck was 20 hours or so shorter than what it should have been. One of the guys I work with says that the manager does this often to save his bonuses. We work for a phone company, so the better qoutas he has, the more bonus\'s he will get. He is also friends with everybody in human resources. I called them to get my actual hours that were scheduled and the hours that it showed I worked. I informed the lady of my problem and she was defending my manager. What should I do to take action to this problem?

If you can't get proper remedy from the company, you could file a claim with the Labor Commissioner for unpaid wages and penalties. If this is common as you claimed, you could have others join you and hire an attorney to bring civil suit for the group. You are entitled to attorney fees if successful, that is the incentive for the attorney. If serious about doing so, feel free to contact me.
