medical leave
can an employer insist in contacting your doctor when on medical leave if the injury occured off work after supplying your doctor's medical form.

The employer is entitled to written verification of the legitimacy of your disability condition and leave necessity from your doctor, but not to 'review the file' with your doctor. Medical privacy laws protect you. Most doctors would tell them to pound sand if they called, and would require a signed authorization from you to release any info at all.
