Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Misrepresented job duties, hours, etc.

I was offered my marketing job by the COO of the company, who has since left. I was supposed to be able to work 9-5 or 8 hrs per day, with the flexibility to work from home and set my own schedule. Now they are trying to change the terms. Also, when I began asking questions about this they posted my job as available, then my supervisor lied to me about the posted job, stating they could just be hiring someone to help me. She has told me alot of private info about other employees being ''written up''and terminated. What can I do?

Re: Misrepresented job duties, hours, etc.

Start looking for a new job. These people are not honest which is not the foundation for a good working relationship. You already know they can't be trusted, so why would you want to stay there any longer than you have to?

Look for another job before you get fired.
