Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Overtime

I live and work in California.

My company was sued in Ohio for overtime and just settled. I received paperwork to be part of the suit but did not join for fear of losing my job. Do I have to sue to get paid for my overtime or does the settlement cover everyone?

Re: Overtime

If you unwisely opted out of a class action, then you probably have to bring your own claim. Since the company settled with them, it should be easier to get them to settle with you, assuming you have the same facts, issues and proof as the class action. Feel free to contact me if interested in pursuing you legal claims and evidence available.
