Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Overtime rules about ''24 hour days''

How do you treat payment of wages on a 24 hour day then followed by an 18 hour day? Also, what health and safety laws are relevent in protecting workers with regard to multiple 12+ hour days?

Re: Overtime rules about ''24 hour days''

each day the first eight is straight time, between 8 and 12 is at time and one half, over 12 is at double time. Start over at the end of every 24.

If this is happening frequently, you need to complain about the possible health and safety issues.
