Not getting paid

My dad's boss hasn't paid them because he used the payroll money so he could do house repairs on his home. What can we do?

Re: Not getting paid

Listen to what the other attorneys said and go to the local office of the Labor Commissioner. You don't need an attorney and they will help you fill out the paperwork. Your father is also entitled to one days wages for every day his employer is late with his paycheck.

There is an office in Stockton which I think is close to you. If not call them and they will get you to the right office. Thier number is (209) 948-7770.

The form, if you want to fill it out before you go there is at (http://www.dir.ca.gov/dlse/Form1.pdf).
