Legal Question in Employment Law in California
Pay cut to $2 a month forced to resign
I've been working for a startup for 2 years, on last day of month told we are getting last paycheck, but we could stay on for $2 a month plus benefits. I was making $9000.00 gross before. I resigned because unemployment is a better deal, now it's looking it will cost me 24k to get my vested stock options. I don't have it. Do I have any legal options? Seems like an easy way for company to get out of options. I think they plan to sell the company soon.

Pay what the contracts call for, or lose them.
