Legal Question in Employment Law in California

My previous employer owes me for 6 months of back pay. He kept saying he would pay me but money was just tight, and he gave me a little money here and there. Then once the statute of limitations hit (2 years) he changed his tune and said he wasn't going to give me anything. Is there any way to get around the statute of limitations? It is thousands of dollars and is so wrong! Thanks for any advice.

The statute of limitations is actually three (3) years and could be extended an additional year if you make a claim for violation of Business & Professions Code 17200. Give me a call at (213) 381-6557 or send me an email a [email protected] if you would like to discuss the matter further.

All the best,

You get to look back three years on your claim, so go file it. If it is contested, you can hire an attorney to help you. If so, feel free to contact me.
