Legal Question in Employment Law in California

My Question is,

I work for a company that requires me to have my own equipment (computer, Ipad, Printer, Cell Phone). I have a company vehicle and it was burglarized and they stole all of my stuff. My company is telling me they are not going to replace my equipment. DO I HAVE A CASE.

You have a claim to make against any auto or homeowners or other insurance policy that covers such thefts. Not, you employer, they didn't steal the stuff did they?
