Legal Question in Employment Law in California

I received too much salary.

I am a teacher. I signed a contract to teach 60% thus receive 60%

pay. Payroll eered and paid me fulltime pay for an entire year. Now

they want me to pay them back. Am I obligated? Thank you for

Yes. You cannot keep something you did not earn.

It's apparent you knew of the overpayment. Yes, they can collect it.
