Legal Question in Employment Law in California
I recently was hired by a company remotely and with only the sales job advertisement which stated a $425 weekly base and vague reference to other work related costs, I worked 2 trial days. The first paid day in the office, I had a discussion about the salary and specific expenses associated with the position as during the interview the terms were vague. The expenses were high $300-$500 weekly in addition to extensive gas and mileage which were said to be reimbursed bi weekly. Day 2 I asked if there was room to negotiate the reimbursement cycle for expenses which became a problem for them. On the 3rd day, as I noticed their business practices weak, when I wrote the payment understanding as they had verbally offered, they terminated me with pay for 4 days.
I was suspicious of this companies actions and large out of pocket they wanted me to front--is this employment fraud?

Fraud would only apply usefully if you gave up a long term and secure job and moved from another area to take this one. If so, then feel free to contact me.
