Legal Question in Employment Law in California
I was recently given a 5% salary raise and a 4% commision raise by my manager. After receiving the new pay level for 2 months, my manager informed me that he made a mistake when he gave me a raise. He has returned my salary and commission pay rate to its original amount. He is also making me pay back over $1000. Is this legal in the state of California?

The company can reduce your pay in the future, but can't make you pay back any 'overages' you received.
