Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Retaliation against whistle blower

My employer (Kaiser Permanente at Los Angeles) put me on paid administrative leave today, pending investigation of the so-called insurbordination & falcification of documentation. I reported my employer to JCAHO in October 2005 for violation of regulation (short-staffing, etc.). I reported KP to JCAHO again in Jan. 2007 for similar violations. They have been retaliating against me by giving me bad annual PEs,etc. They appear to be ready to terminate me this time. What are my legal rights? Who is a strong defender of the employees & can help me get my job back if I am really fired? I'm thinking about suing them even when they decide to keep me. Many employees in our Dept. are unhappy with the Management. Some (at least 2 to my knowledge) are suing them already. Please email me or call me at 213-200-3817. Thanks.

Re: Retaliation against whistle blower

If you have some way of proving your allegations, by showing that their allegations of misconduct are a false pretense, then you have a 'whistleblower retaliation' claim. If you are fired, then it is probably worth pursuing. Feel free to contact me to discuss the evidence and witnesses available to prove your case. Employment law has been a speciality of mine for over 20 years.
