Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Schedule changes, notification

My posted schedule has been Mon/Tue 3pm-11:30pm/close

Wed - Fri 10am- 6:30pm. When leaving work on Friday 7/14 @ 6:30pm, the manager calls me into her office and explains that a co-worker has requested the following Fri & Sat 7/20-7/21 off, so I have a 3 day weekend with Monday off, starting immediately. She then stated ''I will need you to work 3pm-close Friday and Saturday'', to which I agreed. No schedule had been posted. Today is Tuesday. I received a call from same manager @ 12:15pm stating I was late for work by 2 hours. I am facing disciplinary action for disregarding a schedule that did not exist when I was last at work. Does California have a regulation regarding the advance posting of schedules, or notification in the event of schedule changes?

Not in the kind of detail minutia you are involved in. You have to defend yourself on the facts and fairness. You could have an attorney help you if the cost was worth it to you. Call me if so.
