Either take the deal with whatever terms they will agree to, or don't and go to trial. Your choice.

Those are common provisions included in most settlement agreements. It has nothing to do with your freedom of speech or anything else along those lines. As like Mr. Nelson stated, if you don't like it, don't settle it.
