Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Sick and Tired

I was accused by the other co-workers of making some comments about them to another agency. I did not make these alledged comments and I went to each individual on the shift and tried to talk about the issue. This happened February or March of 2003. I resolved the issue with two out of the three members of the shift. The other member just won't seem to let it go and I have tried countless times to speak to him, yet he ignores me. When I have to interact with this individual he makes it very difficult. I have gone to his direct supervisor and his response was you guys work it out. I have gone to my Fire Chief and he said to give it some time, that was over five months ago. I have gone to my Assistant Chief,he said over two weeks ago that he would take care of it. What do I do next? Do I have any legal course of action? Please help!

Re: Sick and Tired

"Legal Recourse"? Probably not, as you are the one accused of something improper. The best advice is probably to stop 'harassing' him, before he files charges against you for that. If HR and mgmt won't or can't resolve this, let it drop and maintain a 'good imployee' attitude to avoid problems.
