If you have a prescription, that means you have a legit bottle into which you could put discretely 'borrowed' tablets, and no one would be the wiser once in the bottle. However, your problem is that you got caught in the act, looking like you were dealing, using at work, or something showing drugs in the workplace. Yes, you can be terminated for that 'good cause', with or without a prescription, since you can't 'legally' do such 'borrowing'. Also, in general, unless an employee is civil service, in a union, or has a written employment contract, they are an 'at will' employee that can be disciplined or terminated any time for any reason, with or without cause, explanation or notice.
