What is the statute of limitations to file a lawsuit for breach of employment contract in California?

Four years for a written contract, two for an oral contract.

Written = 4; oral = 2.

However, any such claims must overcome the employers' defense of CA's statutory "at will" employment rule. Difficult to find a case that can. If you think yours can, feel free to contact me.
