Stress, depression, money owed, owner robbing me and California

I worked alot of overtime hrs. but was paid only 40 per wk. The owner couldnt pay OT until he sold his house. I agreed since I wanted to work for him and help the co. move out of state. The OT would be my down payment on a house. He fired me after the close of escrow. He wouldnt pay me my OT. Two days later his wife calls and says to meet him at work at 7am. I do and he apologizes. He writes a check for the overtime but only straight time. He said to go to work and I put 7am on the time card. He gets mad and says he isnt paying me for the discussion time. I leave at 3:30 and he tells me again he isnt paying the 3 hrs. The relationship isnt the same and I fell stressed. I can still see his face in mine yelling at me that im fired. I return the next day only to leave after an hour and a half. I tried but I cant work there. I go to the doctor and is given medicine for depression. I quit my former job of 19yrs to move with this co. I feel degraded after the owner took the shop keys and yelled at me infront of another employee. I know he catagorized my position as office to save on workers comp, but I ran machines. The doc. wrote a note to take a wk. off. But what do I do then.

If you are owed unpaid compensation for OT or other hours, you can file a claim with the Labor Commissioner. You are entitled to all time properly paid, plus interest and penalties. If it is a substantial amount of money, hire an attorney to help insure you get fully paid by winning your case.
