Legal Question in Employment Law in California

How do I sue the USPS? Terminated after 10 yrs!

I had 10 yrs of ser. w/ the USPS & was terminated for failure to comply. My Postmast insitted I release my med. records to him and refused a written letter by my Doc. stating I would be off for an indefinate time. I had a fam med leave act approved, and was still covered. I have detailed doc. as proof to illegal events inflicted on me;I was sexually harrassed on a daily bases in front of co-workers, that brought a hostile work inviro.. Talk of harassment charges came & after 7yrs w/ only 5 sick days & an award for customer ser., I was made to look & became a discrental emp.. At 1 point mang. locked the dbl doors used for all enter & exit by emp. & in-out going mail loads. No announcement, notice, etc. I slammed into them w/ a hamper full of mail & parcels. I was told if I contacted my Doc I would regret it; 6 days later I contacted their Doctor, I was projectile vomitting from severe pain. Wk comp Doc could only perscribe meds. till my case was won. 5 mo later my case was awarded. Award papers said mang. had 5 days to file papers, returned to me 8/8/04 the day walked off the job. My injury was 2 wks before mail count. An arbitration filed by new carrier got the route recounted. Carrier is now paid 40 hrs more a mo.!

You have/had a union, and a grievance process as to any/all on job issues and discipline.

IF you can prove on-job sexual harassment or other illegal discrimination and retaliation occuring within the last 300 days, you can separately bring a claim and suit for that.
