Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Should I sue? I worked at a pretty large company and I was never given any breaks during the 4 years that I worked there. I was not always given a lunch either. The managers would sometimes have me clock out for lunch and then make me work off the clock. I also know that this is how all the employees were treated. I feel like they forced me to quit. I know they continue these business practices. Should I sue?

Based on what you've said, it appears your former employer is violating the laws regarding rest and meal breaks. If you are a non-exempt employee and you work more than a certain number of hours, you are entitled to rest and/or meal breaks. It is impossible to conduct a full assessment of your claims through this website, but if you want to contact my office at (877) 877-2545, I would be happy to discuss potential legal action on your behalf.

Breaks and lunches are required for all employees. Denial is a violation of the labor laws. If you can somehow prove your claims, yes, you can file suit for recovery of all that time, plus substantial penalties, interest, and attorney fees. You can 'look back' at least three years from today for recovery of time. If youre serious about doing this, and you think you prove your claims, feel free to contact me for the legal help you'll need.
