Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Sunday Pay Rate Law

I read that the hourly rate that you receive for working Sunday should be your hourly rate plus 25% of your hourly rate. Does this apply in California? I am working 40 hours a week and that includes an 8 hour shift on Sunday. What is the law in California?

Re: Sunday Pay Rate Law

5day - 40 hour shifts draw straight time, no matter what days they are. It's your choice whether you take a job requiring Sun work.
