Legal Question in Employment Law in California
I was suspended under investigation from my restaurant for a false accusation by a guest and general manager of adding tip to a credit card. How can I defend myself if I know I did not do it. How can I defend against a lie probably by the guest or even the general manager?

You can't, other than by persuasion of mgmt. Do your best. .
in general, unless an employee is civil service, in a union, or has a written employment contract, they are an 'at will' employee that can be disciplined or terminated any time for any reason, with or without cause, explanation or notice.
A customer complaint would be 'cause' anyway.
