if terminated from employment could i get sued for no competition clause if started to work for a competitior?

Not in California you can't. In this state, employees are free to work anywhere they wish. Most non-competition agreements are not enforceable as a matter of law.

Yes, anybody can sue anybody for anything. But, they probably could not win, and would be foolish to try. They can threaten it, and if they really becomes serious, then go consult with an attorney to get them off your back.
