i was terminated. how much information can my pass employer provide the prospect employer? is there a limit in providing information

Look to see if there was any agreement you signed as to what information can be passed along. The old employer can truthfully respond to relevant questions by a possible new employer; that is a fairly wide span of information but there are limits. If there is something negative, be prepared to address it at the beginning of any job interview or maybe even in the application letter you submit.
