Legal Question in Employment Law in California
I was terminated from my job with the school district today. I requested my final paycheck, as is required by law in California. (labor code 201 and 203). But was told that because they are a school district. That law does not pertain to them. Consequently I will have to wait 10-12 days to recieve a final check. Are school districts allowed to do this? And should the final paycheck include my vacation pay? Thank you
