what to do if a co. terminates employment. (co. violating many laws)
I was recently placed on admin.leave. now i'm being told i'm fired. the company has violated many laws ie: labor laws, repeadly falsified documents and I know of quite a few unlawful business dealings the owner has done in the past in present. Therefore I feel my termination was due to the fact that I wasn't comfortable with this type of business dealings. I have also been out due to medical issues triggered by this stressful situation. I have tried to contact different agencies to submit a complaint. Please let me know what the best type of action I can take to stop this company and owner from violating state and govt. laws in the future.

If the termination was in retaliation for your complaints (you haven't written what the company claimed it's reason was) then the termination is wrongful -- in violation of public policy; and they are liable for the wrongful termination. . . you can do nothing to prevent them from doing this to someone else in the future. . . you might, however, be able to get compensated for what they did to you. . . feel free to email with more details if you are in the Bay Area. IF you can show the termination was a retaliation for you complaining about illegal conduct, you may have a claim of public policy violation and wrongful termination. If you simply 'knew about stuff' but didn't complain about it, or report it to govt agencies, there isn't retaliation to base a suit on. If you did report it, then contact me to discuss your options.
