Legal Question in Employment Law in California
Does anyone know if there are "Underemployment" benefits for someone who has had their Salary cut to 1/4 of what they were making a few months ago? Does it apply to cut wages or only to cut hours? thanks

"Underemployment" benefits? Applies generally to reduced hours only, but you can apply to EDD and try on reduced wages. You have nothing to lose by trying, as long as you tell them the truth.
Under the EDD rules, you would likely be justified in quitting and applying for unemployment benefits, but you would be better off looking for a new job before doing that. .
