Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Unemployment compensation

Hi - I am an officer of a corporation that is essentially out of business. I tried to collect unemployment, as I am in fact no longer employed, but was told by the EDD that I might not qualify as I am an office of the still existing corp. Is that correct? Thanks...

Re: Unemployment compensation

You'll get your answer after you file your claim and your appeal if denied. The EDD hearing judge will give it to you at the end of the trial.
