Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Unfair Labor practices

After 25 years with my company, I was promoted to management. My job has been manipulated several times since then. I was demoted twice. Moved to an Bargained for affiliate company and given the lowest clerical title.I was an excellent performer. I think it is a personal retaliation by my manager. .What to do?

Re: Unfair Labor practices

If the company has now developed a 'poor performance' record for you over a period of time, your options are quite limited. "Personal retaliation" if based on office politics and personality, is not grounds for viable lawsuit. Unless you can show illegal discrimination [age, race, religion, etc] or whistleblower protections, your best option is probably to find a new job, and negotiate a separation/severage package with this employer to leave voluntarily. Contact a local attorney, or me if interested.

Unless discrimination based on race/religion/gender/etc, involved or written contract, get a new job.
