Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Unfair termination

Hi, my friends (3) need help, they feel that they were unfairly let go.

They started working on a new Restaurant with a verbal agreement that they would not get pay for a couple of months, but time when on and the most they would get paid was $100 per week ( 45 hours ), then when one of them was asked, what would make things better in the work place, she open up and the next morning was told that since she was happy there, to go some where else, at one point they were given a piece of paper to sign, they do not know what it was, since they barely speak English. Thank you for any help.

Re: Unfair termination

They need to file a claim for unpaid wages with the Labor Commissioner. If they want legal help doing so, and in going to the hearings and trial, feel free to contact me. They may be entitled to pay, interest, penalties and attorney fees, so don't let them drop this.
