Legal Question in Employment Law in California

Unlawful termination

Even though California is an at will to fire/hire state, can you be fired for reasons that are untrue. I was never written up or given a verbal or spoken to in any way that I would feel my job was in jeopardy. I was fired for insubordination, and work performance.

Re: Unlawful termination

You can be fired with or without reason, for good, bad, or inaccurate reason. Unless it was provably for civil rights discrimination or whistleblower status, and thus 'illegal', just look for another job and keep the new employer happy with you.
