Unpaid Meal Break

Can an employer dictate where or how you take your unpaid meal break?

Yes, as long as it is within legal guidelines. Many companies limit to a cafeteria or other location, or you leave the facility. 'When' is a break approx every two hours, lunch at about 4 hours.
