unpaid vacation

At the closing of a business and dismissal of all employees, is the employer obligated to pay for acrued unused vacation? If so, legally how far back can it be counted if no policy was ever stated (written or implied)?

IF it was policy to pay the vacation, then you can file a claim with the Labor Commissioner. But, if the co is closed, there isn't going to be anyone to pay you.
