Legal Question in Employment Law in California

I walked away from my job last May 2011 after 5 years because my employer took 45%of my pay and wasnt paying me on time. I was granted unemployment benefits because of this. Now, my former employer is trying to appeal the decision and stop my benefits because of possible misconduct at work that they are investigating. Can they do this even though the original reason for the granting of the benefits was for the pay cut? Thank you!!!

The employer has the right to appeal. Whether it is successful or not depends on the evidence it must produce to prove misconduct. If the appeal was late, it must also convince the ALJ it had a very good reason.
