Legal Question in Employment Law in California

I work in California in the entertainment industry as assistant to a director. Are we supposed to be given a lunch break by a certain time by law or can they make us work over 6 hours before we get one?

You are supposed to have a lunch break at the approximate middle of shift, or 5 hours max. You are also supposed to get a morning and an afternoon breas If denied, there are financial penalties against the employer. If this is consistently done to 'all of you', then you could consider getting counsel to bring an enforcement action for the compensation, penalties, interest and attorney fees if you win. If serious about hiring counsel to help in this, feel free to contact me. Ill be happy to help fight and get the best outcome possible.
